Wednesday Nights/Columbia SC:
Where:
Finlay Park (Parking lot up top closer to the Gadsden Street side)
When:
Starts: 7:30-prayer at the top lot
Supper: 7:45-serving on the stage
Ends: 9:00
What To Bring:
Your presence and willingness to humbly serve is enough. If you do feel lead to bring something, we suggest food (fried chicken, fruit, desserts, bread, baked beans, green beans, macaroni and cheese, salad, bottled water). Please keep in mind that we bring what we would serve to family or friends at a dinner party at our home. Top quality! God gave us His best, and we need to do the same.
If you don't feel like bringing food, there is always a need for blankets, new underwear/socks, clothes, shoes and hygiene products.
What To Expect:
Around 7:30 pm, we meet up top for prayer. From there, we go to the pavillion area off Taylor Street where the tables and food are set up and supper is served. Most first-timers worry about how they can best serve and what they can do. Just follow where the Lord leads you! If you feel led to serve food, serve food. If you feel led to mingle and pray, mingle and pray. Trust in God, and he will put you exactly where He wants you. A brief message and blessing is offered before supper.
On a typical night 150 - 175 people will be fed and ministered to. Most are men, but there are some women. On rare occassions there are children there with their parents or guardian.
